Month 1 | Phase 1:
Tuesday, 6:30-8pm weekly session.
Month 2 | Phase 2:
Tuesday, 6:30-8pm weekly session.
Weekly discipleship meeting with mentor.
Month 3 | Phase 3:
Tuesday, 6:30-8pm weekly session.
Weekly discipleship meeting with mentor.
Weekly discipleship meeting with peer-disciple.
Post-Cohort:
1 monthly gathering offered for ongoing community and education.
Does Disciple Makers help me find a mentor?
After a teen signs up to participate in a cohort, Disciple Makers will provide resources and support to help a teen identify who may be a mentor in their life and invite them to participate in discipleship training.
*If a teen, attempts to find a mentor and cannot, Disciple Makers will work with the student to pair them with an adult connected to Disciple Makers.
Do I Find My Own Mentor
?
Our first choice is that teens will honor an adult in their lives, whom they have a pre-established relationship with, by asking them to walk through this 3-month process together. Also, matchmaking is possible, but tricky. Teens will be given a list of suggestions to aid them in discerning the qualities an adult may have to be their mentor. The adult will then be screened by Disciple Makers staff.
We also invite adults, who come across this opportunity prior to a teen in their life, to invite a teen to walk alongside.
